Media Analysis

International, Arab, and local media covered the Yemeni file in all its political, humanitarian, military, economic, etc. aspects. The political media covered a statement issued by the political bureau of the Yemeni Ansarullah group, in which the group affirmed that halting their military operations in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden is contingent on ending the “aggression” and the Israeli blockade imposed on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. As for the humanitarian aspect, it witnessed widespread coverage due to the worsening humanitarian crisis. The military aspect also witnessed broader media coverage than in previous weeks, as the military media covered, reports that the Greek-owned Tutor, a coal carrier, has sunk in the Red Sea a week after it came under attack from Yemen’s Ansarullah group. The leader of the “Ansar Allah” group, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, announcing that Yemen was subjected to 24 US-British raids this week, but they were “without effect”. Yemen’s “Ansar Allah” group announcing that its forces targeted 153 ships linked to Israel, the United States, and Britain since the start of the “Gaza Support Operations” last November.
