Yemen’s Ambassador to Austria, Haitham Shujauddin, met on Monday with the Head of the Development Cooperation Department at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Peter Huber, to discuss bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance development and humanitarian support.
Ambassador Shujauddin briefed the Austrian official on the latest developments in Yemen, affirming his country’s appreciation for the humanitarian support provided by Austria during the past years and expressing Yemen’s aspiration for continued humanitarian assistance.
Ambassador Shujauddin highlighted the importance Yemen places on development support alongside humanitarian aid, and support for the Yemeni government’s efforts to benefit from the assistance provided by Austria in areas that serve the development sector.
For his part, the Austrian official affirmed his country’s support for efforts to achieve security, stability, and comprehensive development in Yemen.
