The Yemeni Ambassador to Jordan, Dr. Jalal Ibrahim Faqira, met yesterday, Sunday, with the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen, Ms. Jeannette Seppen.
The meeting focused on discussing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and reviewing ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields.
During the meeting, Ambassador Faqira praised the humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Yemen, emphasizing its importance in light of the difficult circumstances that the Yemeni people are going through.
The Ambassador also reviewed the challenges facing Yemen, foremost of which are the economic crisis and the humanitarian suffering caused by the war. Ambassador Faqira explained the efforts made by the legitimate political leadership, led by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, to build peace in Yemen, despite all the obstacles placed by the Houthi militia.
For her part, the Dutch Ambassador affirmed her country’s full support for the Presidential Leadership Council, led by President Al-Alimi, and for all international and regional efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations.
