The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaya’ Al-Zandani, met on Monday with the Ambassador of the European Union, Gabriel Munuera Viñals, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hubert Jäger, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Jeannette Seppen, accredited to Yemen.
During the meeting, they reviewed the developments in the situation in Yemen in light of the recent escalation in the Red Sea and its negative repercussions on the situation in the country.
Al-Zandani also discussed with the ambassadors areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, ways to increase support provided to the Yemeni government in various fields, in addition to the main challenges it faces. He emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation with all friends to alleviate humanitarian suffering and achieve peace in Yemen, appreciating the efforts of the European Union and its position on peace efforts.
