On Thursday, in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Mansour Bajash, met with the Regional Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council for East Africa and Yemen, Hajar Muallim.

The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs was briefed on the efforts made by the Norwegian Council through the provision of development projects in Yemen.

Bajash addressed the situation in Yemen and the difficulties faced by the Yemeni government in providing humanitarian assistance, due to the terrorist practices of the Houthi militia, including the blocking of roads, the siege of cities, targeting civilians, looting aid, imposing levies, and the arbitrary measures imposed by the Houthi militias against international organizations.

For his part, the Regional Director of the Norwegian Council confirmed the Council’s commitment to building resilience, enhancing sustainable solutions, and meeting humanitarian needs in Yemen.
