Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering women to actively participate in all walks of life, enhancing their presence in decision-making positions, and supporting their causes at various levels.

During his meeting on Wednesday in the temporary capital Aden with the Head of the National Woman’s Committee, Dr. Shafiqa Saeed, and several members of the committee, the Prime Minister praised the role of Yemeni women, who have proven throughout history to be an essential element in the nation’s equation and a full partner in all its battles and challenges. He pointed out the government’s keenness to support women’s empowerment so that they can occupy their rightful place and role and to remove the obstacles they face in the current circumstances.

The Prime Minister was briefed by the Head and members of the committee on the committee’s activities during the past period, the challenges it faces, the required government support to increase women’s economic, social, and developmental empowerment, and the importance of achieving the national plan for women’s empowerment.
