His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Sheikh Othman Mujalli, member of the Council, met at the Republican Palace in the city of Al-Mukalla, a team of civil society organizations supported by the national private sector in a pioneering experience to embody the social responsibility of the financial and business community.

The team presented a presentation on the activities of the Hadhramout Development and Culture, Daw’an for Mud Brick Architecture, and Adalah for Legal Development Foundations.

The presentation included the programs of the Hadhramout Foundation for Human Development, which include general education, scholarships and training, a language institute, technical education, in addition to an alumni club.

The team said that the number of beneficiaries of the Hadhramout Foundation for Human Development programs exceeded more than 143 thousand students, including more than 5800 beneficiaries of the scholarship and training program.

The team also presented the programs of the Hadhramout Foundation for Culture in the fields of literature, theater, traditional symphonies and cultural management. The Daw’an Foundation for Mud Brick Architecture, which is active in the field of preserving antiquities and repairing cities and historical landmarks. While the Adalah Foundation provides quality services in the fields of legal development and peace establishment.

In the context of separate activities, the team presented plans to confront the problem of drought and mitigate the effects of climate change in Hadhramout Governorate.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the activities provided by Hadhramout civil Foundations in various fields.

He also expressed his appreciation for the qualitative contributions of businessman Sheikh Abdullah Bukshan as one of the pioneers of the national private sector in the country, and for the young people in charge of the programs of these Foundations, who together provide a model to be followed for sincere community participation in local development.
