Aden, Yemen – Yemeni Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasem Buhaibih, held two separate meetings on Sunday in the temporary capital, Aden, with the Deputy Head of Mission of Doctors Without Borders, Hani Al-Milihi, and a team from Ethraa Foundation for Empowerment and Humanitarian Response, headed by Dr. Murad Al-Da’ari, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the health sector.
During his meeting with Al-Milihi, Buhaibih praised the qualitative and distinguished interventions of Doctors Without Borders in the Yemeni health sector, affirming the ministry’s keenness to provide and develop specialized therapeutic and surgical interventions.
In his meeting with the Ethraa Foundation delegation, Buhaibih listened to an explanation of the ongoing arrangements to implement a surgical camp for tumors in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Elaf Foundation, and the foundation’s plans to establish and support a number of dialysis centers in several governorates.
The Minister of Health stressed the need to enhance institutional work and partnership with the ministry, and to direct interventions towards areas with high needs.
