The non-resident Ambassador of Yemen to the Dominican Republic, Mohammed Saleh Nasher, discussed on Thursday with the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ricardo Ruiz, ways to strengthen and develop cooperation relations between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Nasher briefed the Dominican official on the latest political and economic developments in Yemen, the efforts being made to stop the war and achieve peace, and the Houthi militias’ refusal to cooperate with the international community’s efforts to stop the war and their continued escalation in the Red Sea, which has threatened international shipping and trade lines.
For his part, the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated his country’s support for the Yemeni government and its support for all efforts that would lead to ending the war and achieving lasting peace in Yemen.
