Mauritanian Prime Minister, Mokhtar Ould Ajay, received on Friday the Ambassador of Yemen to Mauritania, Dr. Salem Al-Arada.
The Mauritanian Prime Minister affirmed the depth and strength of fraternal relations between the two countries, stressing the endeavor to strengthen and develop them in all fields. He renewed Mauritania’s support for the legitimate Yemeni government.
Ambassador Al-Arada conveyed to the Mauritanian Prime Minister the greetings of the Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, reviewing bilateral relations and areas of joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them. He also expressed his appreciation for Mauritania’s steadfast position in supporting Yemen.
Al-Arada touched upon the latest developments on the Yemeni arena, including the crimes and violations committed by the Houthi terrorist militia against the Yemeni people, in flagrant violation of international laws and norms. He pointed to the kidnapping of United Nations employees and workers in international and civil society organizations by the Houthi terrorist militia, who are still forcibly disappeared until this moment. He also pointed to Iranian interference and its support for the Houthi terrorist militia.
Ambassador Al-Arada reiterated the Yemeni government’s firm stance towards achieving peace in accordance with the three references, and its concessions in this regard, despite the intransigence of the terrorist militia and its continuation of the war.
