The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaya’ Al-Zindani, on Thursday, visited the Russian Diplomatic Academy affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he met with the academy’s president, Ambassador Alexander Vladimirovich Yakovenko, and several members of the academy’s faculty.
The Minister was briefed on the role played by the Russian Academy in qualifying personnel, developing capabilities, and on the research and studies related to foreign policy and other tasks undertaken by the academy.
Minister Al-Zindani reviewed with the academy’s director opportunities and areas of cooperation, benefiting from its expertise to help qualify Yemeni diplomatic personnel at the academy, as well as sending some of its lecturers to conduct training courses for employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the temporary capital, Aden.
An agreement was reached to sign a cooperation agreement between the Russian Diplomatic Academy and the Diplomatic Institute affiliated with the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was attended by Yemen’s ambassador to Moscow, Ahmed Al-Wahishi.
