On Friday, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Yemeni Embassy in Jakarta, Mohammed Al-Najjar, discussed with the Director of the Middle East Department at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahrwal Fath al-Rahman, ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
The two sides also discussed arrangements for resuming the meetings of the Yemeni-Indonesian Joint Committee and reviewing bilateral agreements signed during previous committee meetings, which covered several vital areas.
They also discussed drafting new agreements, particularly in the consular and diplomatic passport fields. Additionally, they reviewed the latest political developments in Yemen and the government’s efforts to achieve peace.
Al-Najjar expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s efforts and willingness to support Yemen in addressing the damage caused by heavy rains and floods that affected several Yemeni governorates.
For his part, the Indonesian official affirmed his country’s support for the United Nations’ efforts and its envoy to Yemen in achieving peace and stability in the country.
