The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasem Buhaibah, discussed on Wednesday with the Emergency Expert at the World Health Organization office in New York, Dr. Rawi Ibrahim, ways to enhance emergency and disaster preparedness.
The meeting reviewed the possibility of providing technical support, assessing needs, and developing important plans that determine how the health sector responds to emergencies and disasters.
The Minister of Health stressed the importance of emergency files as one of the ministry’s priorities, noting that its most important aspects are completing the risk and preparedness file, in addition to the health security plan, the multi-hazard plan, and completing related activities.
