On Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak visited the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where he was received by the Royal Court Advisor and General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, along with several center officials.
The Prime Minister expressed his admiration for the significant efforts he witnessed at the center and its important role in supporting the needy and affected around the world. He conveyed his gratitude and deep thanks to the Kingdom, both government and people, for all the humanitarian, relief, and charitable assistance provided to Yemen, which has helped alleviate the suffering of people in various cities and villages without exception, affirming that this reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries.
A meeting held by the Prime Minister with the center’s leadership discussed coordination and development of humanitarian work in Yemen, in addition to priorities for humanitarian needs, and joint coordination between the government and the center in implementing programs and plans prepared to achieve the desired goals efficiently and effectively.
The General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, welcomed the visit of His Excellency the Prime Minister, emphasizing the center’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of the needy, affected, and displaced populations in Yemen.
He also reviewed in detail the humanitarian projects implemented by the center in 102 countries, including Yemen, where the number of projects reached 976 humanitarian projects at a value exceeding 4 billion dollars, covering various vital sectors.
