Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daeri discussed on Monday with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, Major General Pilot Mohammed Al-Moghidi, the enhancement of joint cooperation between Yemen and the coalition.
During his visit to the coalition’s headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Defense Minister emphasized the importance of this coalition in combating terrorism, from which many countries, including Yemen, have suffered and continue to suffer.
The Defense Minister listened to a brief explanation of the coalition’s efforts in combating terrorism in ideological, media, military fields, and in countering terrorism financing, as well as the role it plays in coordinating the efforts of member countries in the coalition.
Lieutenant General Al-Daeri highlighted the pivotal role of the Islamic Military Coalition in serving the interests of member states in various forms of terrorism combat, praising the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its wise leadership in establishing and supporting this coalition to have effective contributions in fighting terrorism, uprooting it, and drying up its sources.
On his part, Major General Al-Moghidi explained that the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition represents an integrated system aiming to enhance cooperation among member states, in addition to its foundation on values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, and participation, striving to ensure that all actions and efforts of the coalition countries in fighting terrorism are consistent with international systems, norms, and laws.
