On Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaya’ Al-Zindani, discussed at the ministry’s headquarters in the interim capital Aden, with Alexander Kinshak, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and his accompanying delegation, the bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them.

Both sides reviewed the developments in Yemen and the region, and the efforts made to de-escalate and achieve peace in Yemen.

Minister Al-Zindani emphasized that the diplomatic activity witnessed by the interim capital Aden, and the desire of many embassies to conduct their business from the interim capital, is welcomed by the Yemeni government, which will provide all facilities to receive more delegations and embassies, contributing to pushing forward the wheel of development despite the difficult economic conditions and challenges.

The Russian official expressed his pleasure in visiting the interim capital Aden, pointing out that this important visit comes in execution of the directives from the Russian political leadership to move the Russian embassy and conduct its operations from the interim capital Aden, commending the cooperation of the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government, and the facilities provided to the embassy in this regard.
