On Wednesday, in the capital Aden, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daeri, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Yemen, Mustafa Polat, and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in Yemen amidst ongoing regional developments and the continued threats by the Houthi terrorist militia to international navigation and their targeting of commercial ships.

The Defense Minister praised the bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, looking forward to enhancing joint cooperation, especially in military and technical training and rehabilitation.

Lieutenant General Al-Daeri pointed out the public anger and frustration in areas under Houthi militia control due to starvation, looting, and extortion imposed under various pretexts, affirming that the Yemeni people will not compromise on their freedom and dignity for those who claim divine right to power and wealth.

For his part, the Turkish Ambassador highlighted the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, confirming his country’s support for Yemen and its leadership, and looking forward to more joint cooperation between the two countries.
