The Permanent Representative of Yemen to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, met with the President of the UN Security Council for September, the representative of the Republic of Slovenia to the Council, Ambassador Samuel Žbogar.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields, especially in the field of multilateral work. They also reviewed political developments, economic and humanitarian conditions in Yemen, efforts to achieve peace, developments in the region, ways to enhance security and stability, and the role that Slovenia can play through its membership in the Security Council to support efforts for a political settlement in Yemen and advance the peace process to end the conflict and alleviate human suffering.
