The Head of the Yemeni Mission to the European Union, Ambassador Mohammed Taha Mustafa, met on Friday with the Director-General of the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid, Andreas Papaconstantinou.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation in Yemen in the wake of the rains and floods that have affected a number of governorates. They also discussed the possibility of providing aid to address the disaster faced by civilians and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the areas they fled to, escaping the Houthi terrorist militia.
For his part, the Director-General of the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid explained that the Commission is studying the damage and assessing the situation to provide assistance.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of Mission, Counselor Yazan Abdul Karim Al-Eryani.
