His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressed, on his own behalf, fellow members of the Council, the government and the Yemeni people, great thanks and appreciation to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, His Crown Prince, His government and the brotherly Kuwaiti people, for his generous directives to support Yemenia Airways with three aircraft and two engines. Based on a previous letter sent by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council to the Emir of the State of Kuwait.
The President said in a post on “X”: that this new Kuwaiti support represents an important addition to the long record of the State of Kuwait’s honorable positions and its generous humanitarian interventions at various stages and circumstances alongside the Yemeni people, its political leadership, and its sincere keenness to achieve its aspirations in restoring state institutions, Peace, security, stability, and development.
The Kuwaiti government informed the Yemeni government of the issuance of directives approving a previous request from President Al-Alimi to the Emir of the State of Kuwait regarding support for the rehabilitation of the air transport sector through Yemenia Airways.
A letter from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Yemeni Embassy in the State of Kuwait stated, “In the spirit of fraternal relations and the position of the State of Kuwait in support of the brothers in Yemen, the government of the State of Kuwait has been authorized to provide the necessary support to the Republic of Yemen by granting 3 aircraft and 2 engines.”
