Dr. Shaye Mohsen Al-Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, met with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Yemen in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them to broader horizons in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and coordinate positions on issues of common interest.
Al-Zindani praised the State of Qatar’s firm and supportive stance towards the Presidential Leadership Council and its government, and expressed his gratitude for its development and relief interventions that contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
For his part, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar congratulated His Excellency Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, wishing him success in his work duties and looking forward to working together to achieve the common interests between the two countries, reiterating his country’s position in support of Yemen’s security, unity and stability. The meeting was attended by our country’s ambassador to Doha, Ambassador Rajih Badi, the head of the Foreign Minister’s Office, Ambassador Abdul Qader Hadi, and the official in charge of Al Jazeera and the Gulf file in the Foreign Minister’s Office, Counselor Alaa Afara.
