His Excellency Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, along with council members Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Majli, laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Martyrs’ Memorial at the historic Al-Qahira Castle in Taiz city. This is in honor and tribute to the memory of the noble martyrs from the governorate and the Republic who sacrificed their lives cheaply in defense of the Republic, its values of freedom, justice, and equal citizenship against the hateful racist Imami project.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed great pride on behalf of himself and his fellow council members in inaugurating the establishment of this memorial for the martyrs of the Republic from the heroes of the armed forces, security, all military and security formations, and the popular resistance who wrote their names in letters of light in the book of sacrifice and national struggle against the Houthi terrorist militias supported by the Iranian regime.

He pointed out that the choice of Taiz for establishing this memorial comes in recognition and appreciation of its immense sacrifices and the legendary resilience of its sons in the fateful battle against the Houthi terrorist militias and their unjust siege which has been ongoing for over ten years.
