The international media covered the Yemeni issue in a large way this week, with great emphasis on the political and humanitarian aspects, and the military aspect in particular. The number of articles that were monitored in the international media reached 149 news articles. Where the political side received 26 news articles, 17%. The humanitarian side received 29 news articles, 19%. The military side was covered with 86 articles, a rate of 58%. Then the rest of the frames come as shown in the table below.

Media Analysis

International, Arab, and local media covered the Yemeni file in all its political, humanitarian, military, economic, etc. aspects. The political media covered China calling for an end to attacks on civilian ships in the Red Sea and for the safe passage of navigation there, during a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Yemeni counterpart (Aden-Based Government) in Beijing. And a report published by the Iranian Tasnim News Agency stated that the Yemeni “Ansar Allah” group has obtained the technology for Iranian “Qader” ballistic anti-submarine missiles. As for the humanitarian aspect, it witnessed widespread coverage due to the worsening humanitarian crisis, as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced on Sunday that the “Ansar Allah” group have released 113 prisoners from the other side, unilaterally. The military aspect also witnessed broader media coverage than in previous weeks, as the military media covered, “Ansar Allah” military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarea saying that “Ansar Allah” has carried out 6 military operations, he pointed out that 3 ships were targeted in the Red Sea, two ships in the Arabian Sea, and one ship in the Mediterranean with a number of sea missiles. The Yemeni Ansar Allah group also announced the downing of a US “MQ-9” drone while carrying out “hostile missions” in the Yemeni province of Marib.
