Media Analysis

International, Arab, and local media covered the Yemeni file in all its aspects: political, humanitarian, military, economic, and so forth. Political media outlets covered the statement by Yemen’s “Ansar Allah” group (Houthis), which affirmed that Israel is leading the region towards a “full-scale war” through its escalation in Lebanon. The group also declared its support for Lebanon’s Hezbollah group in its ongoing conflict with Israel. Furthermore, Western and regional sources mentioned that Iran is mediating in secret negotiations between Russia and the “Ansar Allah” group to supply the group with anti-ship missiles. As for the humanitarian aspect, it witnessed widespread coverage due to the worsening humanitarian crisis. The military aspect also witnessed broader media coverage than in previous weeks, military media reported that Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s “Ansar Allah” group (Houthis), announced that his group possesses an advanced military arsenal, pointing out that missile power symbolizes this military progress. In a related context, the U.S. Army announced on Wednesday the destruction of a drone belonging to Yemen’s Ansar Allah group (Houthis) over the Red Sea.
