Minister of Local Administration, Hussein Al-Aghbari, held a virtual meeting on Tuesday with representatives from the German Development Agency (GIZ) to discuss mechanisms and programs for implementing the “Strengthening Good Governance, Transparency, and Accountability” project. This project is slated for implementation in the governorates of Aden, Taiz, and Hadramout.
During the meeting, Al-Aghbari emphasized the importance of implementing programs and projects that support youth and women, ensuring their participation in the local authorities’ and administrative units’ development process. He expressed his appreciation for the significant role played by Germany in supporting Yemen.
GIZ representatives commended the Ministry’s efforts in providing necessary facilities and addressing challenges faced by international and regional organizations during the implementation of development and humanitarian projects and programs.
