On Saturday, in the Jordanian capital Amman, the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassem Bahaibah, discussed with the Jordanian Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

Minister Bahaibah expressed his gratitude to the Jordanian side for their significant cooperation in the health cooperation protocol between the two countries, which allows for the training of about 200 Yemeni doctors in Arab and Jordanian fellowship programs, in addition to the medical treatment scholarships provided by the Jordanian side to the Yemeni Ministry of Health.

The meeting, which occurred on the sidelines of Minister Bahaibah’s participation in the first Arab Conference on the Role of Migrant Health Competencies in Supporting Health Systems in Arab Countries, organized by the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and the Arab Council for Health Specialties in Jordan, also addressed new health requirements for travelers from Yemen to Jordan, including the polio vaccine requirement, and explored avenues for health cooperation beneficial to both nations.
