Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasem Buhaibah, met on Tuesday in the interim capital, Aden, with the Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Yemen, Luciano Calestini. The meeting focused on health-related topics.
During the meeting, they reviewed the health projects adopted by UNICEF and discussed ways to ensure their continuation and development. Additionally, they explored the plans and programs on the organization’s agenda for the health sector, most notably the UNICEF global initiative to promote the use of solar energy in health centers, schools, and water projects.
The Minister of Health stressed the importance of increasing reliance on clean solar energy and reducing dependence on electricity and fuel. He also highlighted the ministry’s experience in finding solutions for the provision of oxygen through the establishment of permanent oxygen production plants.
