The Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Al-Bakri, met on Wednesday with the British Ambassador to Yemen, Abdo Sharif, to discuss bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and prospects for joint cooperation.
Minister Al-Bakri stressed the depth of bilateral relations between Yemen and Britain and the need to strengthen and develop them, especially in areas serving youth, sports, and women, in addition to training, qualification, arts and creativity, and support and encouragement of entrepreneurship. He praised the UK government’s supportive stance towards legitimacy in all fields.
For her part, the British Ambassador affirmed her country’s support for the Yemeni government and its keenness for a just solution in Yemen that would establish lasting stability and spare the country from any future conflicts. She also highlighted the UK’s endeavor to strengthen the distinguished relations between the two countries, which have been formed over many generations.
