His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived in Riyadh on Sunday to participate in the Jount Arab-Islamic Follow-Up Summit. The summit, hosted by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to address the repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Palestinian and Lebanese territories, as well as the current developments in the region.
Upon His arrival at King Khalid International Airport, His Excellency the President was received by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh, Major General Mansour bin Nasser Al-Otaibi, Riyadh Acting Police Chief, and Mr. Fahd Al-Suhail, Royal Protocol Undersecretary.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the President, on behalf of himself and the Council members, expressed his deep appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom, led by his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for the kind invitation to this summit, which is convened under complex political and security circumstances.
His Excellency the President praised the well-organized and prepared Joint Arab-Islamic Follow-Up Summit, affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading role in fostering Arab and Islamic solidarity and supporting the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Yemeni delegation to the summit includes Dr. Yahya Al-Shaibi, the Director of the office of the Presidency of the Republic and Dr. Shaya’ Al-Zandani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
