His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met Yesterday, Monday, with Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, the Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, and his deputies Sakhr Al-Wajeeh, Jamila Ali Raja, and Akram Al-Amiri.
The President of the Leadership Council listened to briefings from the Chairman and deputies of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission on the work of the Commission during the past period to implement its tasks under the declaration of the transfer of power. As well as, His Excellency was briefed on the Commission’s current and future programs in the political, economic, social, and media aspects, continuing the efforts of consensus and reconciliation, and bringing the views of the various parties, political components, and national forces closer together and unifying them around the goal of restoring state institutions and overthrowing the coup.
His Excellency the President praised the efforts of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission and its supportive role for the Council, including its institutional structure and the work of its leadership and main committees from the homeland. His Excellency stressed the state’s keenness to enhance the Commission’s effective presence in bringing viewpoints closer together and bridging trust between all national components.
His Excellency the President briefed the leadership of the Consultation on the latest developments in the local situation, the priorities and reforms required to strengthen cohesiveness, and confront the financial and humanitarian pressures imposed by the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime on oil facilities and international shipping lines. These attacks which caused the state treasury to lose about 70% of its main resources.
His Excellency the President also presented the results of his meetings with regional and international actors, and the efforts of brothers and friends to reduce economic escalation, and revive the political process in accordance with the roadmap proposed by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The President of the Leadership Council briefed the Chairman of the Consultation Commission and his deputies on the results of his recent visit to Taiz Governorate, and the importance of building on this visit to strengthen the government’s position in the governorate at all levels.
His Excellency also touched upon the results of his visit to Hadhramaut Governorate, his meetings with the leadership of the local authority, representatives of political parties, and community forces. In addition to the efforts made to meet the legitimate demands of the people of the governorate, and to enhance its historical position as a model of the State’s sovereignty and the rule of law.
