In his speech before the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), reiterated the Presidential Leadership Council’s support for the efforts of the Consultations and Reconciliations Commission (CRC) to unite national forces to restore state institutions and eliminating the coup of the Iranian-allied Houthi terrorist militias.

Speaking to the headship of the CRC, on Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden, he hailed the CRC’s actions as significant progress in terms of the institutionalizing structuring, specifically creating the CRC’s main committees which are set to be an additional tributary to the decision-maker at all levels.

The President recalled the five main priorities of the coalition of the national political forces, centered on working to protect the existing consensus within the framework of the PLC and the government of political proficiencies , supporting the state’s efforts to build a good model in the government-held governorates, including delivering on its obligations towards citizens and facilitating its access to all its public resources.

The Chairman of the PLC noted that mobilizing all resources and joining all efforts to restore the state’s imitations and put down the coup d’état, countering the Iranian spoiler scheme and establishing robust partnership with Arab Coalition in support of Yemen must be a top priority at this stage.

The President provided brief presentation about the progress realized by the PLC, citing the continuation of the national consensus and its coherence as the most important gain has been achieved so far.

He said” Even though the progress has been slow in some tracks, yet stopping bloodshed among the partners in the single goal is an invaluable achievement” .

He also pointed out to the remarkable improvement in the security situations in the temporary capital Aden and the government-held governorates and government has managed to keep on delivering on its obligations including regular salary pay and securing the requirements of the basic commodity imports despite the acute financing crisis.

The President has confirmed that the PLC has been determinedly going on the measures to unify and integrate the armed and security forces per the recommendations of the joint Military and Security Committee.

The Chairman of the PLC has confirmed the PLC’s full support for the government’s ongoing efforts and reforms at different levels including the recent decisions of the Central Bank of Yemen to protect the banking system and control money laundering.
