His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received yesterday, Thursday, at Al-Ma’ashiq Palace in the temporary capital, Aden, Dr. Saud Ali Al-Hajri, the President of the Kuwaiti Ilaf Charity Association, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Yemen to determine the priorities of humanitarian aid and urgent interventions in the service, health, educational, agricultural, and developmental sectors.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council listened to a brief overview from the Kuwaiti delegation about the results of their field visits to several governorates and the necessary facilitation for implementing the association’s projects, starting with the establishment of a permanent office in Aden.
During the meeting, the President welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation, who also briefed His Excellency on the activities and programs of the Ilaf Charity Association in Yemen, including the launch of the second free Ilaf medical camp in Aden, with the participation of a group of doctors and specialists in cancer surgery.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council highlighted the role of the Ilaf Association as one of the most prominent sponsors of charitable and humanitarian work inside and outside Kuwait, and also commended the efforts of Kuwaiti charitable associations, financial institutions, and charitable organizations in rehabilitating services in Yemen and alleviating the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
His Excellency also praised Kuwait’s honorable positions, its generous humanitarian and developmental interventions, and its sincere support for the aspirations of the Yemeni people and their political leadership during various stages and circumstances, including its active role in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was attended by Yemen’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Ali Mansour bin Safaa.
