His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, Prime Minister, arrived in Doha on Sunday for an official visit to the State of Qatar.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and several officials in the State of Qatar. The talks will focus on bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and mechanisms to enhance and develop them in various fields, in addition to developments at the national level, and regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the war ignited by the terrorist Houthi militia.
They will also discuss several issues of common interest at the regional and international levels, including the continued terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia on international shipping lanes, in addition to the ongoing Qatari role in reaching a ceasefire in Gaza as part of its mediation efforts alongside Egypt and the United States, and the supportive stance towards the Palestinian people and their right to establish their independent and sovereign state based on the Arab Initiative and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
It is also scheduled for His Excellency the Prime Minister to participate in a high-level event celebrating the International Day to Protect Education from Attacks, which coincides with September 9th every year.
Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak praised the State of Qatar’s steadfast positions alongside Yemen and its people and its support for its aspirations to achieve stability, peace, complete the restoration of the state, and end the coup. He expressed his appreciation for the Qatari development and humanitarian assistance and its role in alleviating human suffering, in addition to the urgent relief response with the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to aid those affected by the torrential rains and floods that led to dozens of victims and caused enormous damage to public and private property, agricultural holdings, infrastructure, and basic services, within the repercussions of climate change.
The Prime Minister was received with the customary reception ceremonies, where he was received upon arrival by His Excellency Ambassador Ibrahim bin Fakhro, Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with several officials and His Excellency Rajih Badi, Ambassador of Yemen to the State of Qatar.
Accompanying the Prime Minister during the visit are the Minister of Education, Tariq al-Akbari, the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Engineer Anis Bahartha, and the Prime Minister’s Advisor, Ambassador Mujib Othman.
