Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak discussed with the Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign Ministry, Hamish Falconer, the bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for enhancing them in various fields, as well as the supportive role of Britain for the Yemeni government and people, and its keenness to establish peace.

During a phone call on Monday, both sides reviewed national, regional, and international developments and the positions of both countries regarding them, including the necessity to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, and its dangerous repercussions that threaten the security and stability of the region and the world, in addition to the continued terrorist attacks by Houthi militias on commercial ships and international navigation.

The Prime Minister praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, looking forward to more British support for the Yemeni government and people in these exceptional circumstances to meet the growing humanitarian and service commitments, commending Britain’s steadfast position alongside the Yemeni people, alleviating their humanitarian suffering, and achieving their aspirations in restoring state institutions, security, stability, and development.

On his part, the British Minister reiterated his country’s support for the Yemeni government and its efforts in implementing reforms and alleviating human suffering, pointing out the keenness to support efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in Yemen.
