Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak emphasized the government’s commitment to developing and enhancing the Amin Nasher Institute for Health Sciences, noting its significant academic and educational value in the health sector, having enriched it with distinguished cadres throughout its long history since the mid-last century.
This statement was made during the Prime Minister’s visit to Amin Nasher Higher Institute of Health Sciences on Monday, where he reviewed the institute’s conditions and the ongoing coordination with international organizations to bolster the institute’s infrastructure, equip its various practical labs, and assess existing needs.
During the visit, Prime Minister bin Mubarak, accompanied by Dr. Qasim Buhaibeh, the Minister of Public Health and Population, listened to explanations from the Institute’s Dean, Dr. Jamal Amzayb, about the educational process. The institute currently hosts 2,400 students across ten specializations, in addition to specialized diplomas post-graduate, with eight branches in Al Mahrah, Mukalla, Seiyun, Ataq, Abyan, Aden, Lahj, and Al Dhale’e.
The Prime Minister also toured the institute’s library, examining the scientific references, books, and medical journals it holds.
He stressed the importance of focusing on specialized fields, providing practical application labs to aid in producing competent graduates capable of making significant contributions to the health sector. He highlighted the necessity of providing suitable educational environments for students, enhancing lecture halls, and focusing on graduating health professionals with exceptional skills.
