His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, Prime Minister of Yemen, held a meeting in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday with Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Education Above All Foundation. The meeting focused on discussing potential interventions by the Foundation in Yemen to support the government’s efforts in the field of education.
The meeting addressed the importance of implementing sustainable education projects at the national level and in areas where internally displaced persons are returning. Discussions also included enhancing the education system, supporting teachers, constructing educational complexes in several governorates and rural areas, and establishing specialized schools for children with disabilities and mine victims.
The Prime Minister briefed Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser on the overall status of education in Yemen and the challenges it faces. He highlighted the priorities and needs for advancing the educational process and the required areas of support. He expressed his aspiration for effective support from their brothers in the State of Qatar to help the government maintain the educational process and protect future generations.
The meeting was attended by Tariq Al-Akbari, Minister of Education; Rajih Badi, Ambassador of Yemen to the State of Qatar; Eng. Anis Bahartha, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office; and Mujib Othman, Advisor to the Prime Minister.
