Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak met on Thursday with representatives of Yemeni banks and financial institutions participating in the Arab Banking Conference for the year 2024, which was hosted by the State of Qatar on September 10th and 11th, under the patronage of the Qatar Central Bank and organized by the Union of Arab Banks under the title “Sustainable Development Requirements and the Role of Banks.”

The Prime Minister was briefed by the participants on the conference’s agenda and discussion sessions, which focused on the role of banks and financial institutions in joining efforts to achieve sustainable development, the banking sector’s role in financing development and digital inclusion, and other topics.

The Prime Minister affirmed the government’s keenness to establish strategic partnerships with the private sector, foremost among them banks and financial institutions, and to expand investment opportunities in line with the five tracks and priorities that represent the vision for future work. He pointed to the government’s efforts in financial and administrative reform and combating corruption to create an appropriate environment for the private sector to operate and overcome the difficulties it faces as a key partner of the government in developing the country and achieving economic stability.
