The Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, accompanied by the Presidential Leadership Council’s Advisor for Defense and Security Affairs, Major General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, conducted a visit on Saturday to the Qa’wah coastal area, where they met with several residents of the area which falls under the Al-Buraiqah Directorate in Aden Governorate.
The Prime Minister engaged in discussions with the local residents, listening to their concerns and needs, particularly regarding the challenges they face with basic services like water, education, health, and roads. The residents expressed their happiness with the Prime Minister’s visit to their area and the directives that would result in rectifying the area’s situation and providing services to its people.
Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak instructed the Ministers of Water and Environment, Education, Public Health and Population, and Public Works and Highways to deploy field teams to the Qa’wah area to study and urgently address its needs. He emphasized that he would closely monitor the progress of the water project for the area, the provision of medical staff for the health center, teachers for the school, in addition to including the road paving in the project matrix.
The Prime Minister reassured the area’s residents that coordination with the relevant ministries and the local authority in Aden Governorate would be undertaken to oversee the service situation in the region. He pointed out that serving the citizens and alleviating their burdens, especially in these areas suffering from deprivation and neglect, is a national and moral duty incumbent upon all officials.
Residents, whose area includes approximately 150 homes with a population of 800 people, spoke about their daily lives which primarily depend on fishing. They shared their vision for enhancing production, noting that the Qa’wah coast is one of Aden’s richest coastal areas in terms of fish and marine life, and they requested government and governorate support in this regard.
