His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, called on all political and social forces and components to inspire strength from the spirit of the glorious October 14 Revolution.

He emphasized the need to bolster national alignment in order to confront both local and regional challenges, advance efforts to restore state institutions, and overturn the coup, while turning crises into opportunities.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, in a speech to the people on the anniversary of the 61st of the October 14 Revolution, said, “The values of October, September, and the current national entitlements compel us to work in an integrated manner to achieve our fundamental goals and to guide Yemen through this increasingly complex juncture, amidst the rapid developments in the region.”

In a speech delivered on his behalf by Dr. Waed Bathib, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council added: “In the face of intertwined challenges, we find ourselves at a historic responsibility that necessitates the unification of the republican alignment and a firm stance against the new colonial projects through which the Iranian regime seeks to usurp the will of our people, and fracture their identity and social fabric.”

The President affirmed that despite the challenges and difficult circumstances brought about by the Houthi militia’s coup, the spirit of September, October, and November continues to give birth to hope with every new dawn.

He continued, “Therefore, O great people, believe that the future is yours, and that Yemen will overcome all obstacles if our hearts and efforts unite together. With confidence and sincerity, we will achieve this.”

He reiterated the state’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations, foremost among them the continued payment of salaries, securing fuel supplies, and providing essential goods and services, especially in the areas of electricity, water, education, and healthcare.

He noted, “Thanks to your patience, sense of responsibility, and the support of our brothers and friends, we are working according to a calm strategy aimed at turning successive crises into opportunities. He added converting the oil export crisis into an opportunity for self-revenue development, and transforming the frustration over the central bank’s decisions delay into an improved international reputation, and broader diplomatic and developmental engagement, the results of which you will gradually witness in the interim capital and the liberated governorates.”

He pointed out that this strategy has already achieved success in building alliances, strengthening the international community’s confidence in the legitimate government, and undermining the misleading narratives of the militias. However, he emphasized the need to be prepared for any potential attempts by the militias to escalate recklessly.

The President also noted that the local and external challenges facing the Yemeni state will never cease as long as these rogue militias exist. In fact, the situation may become more dangerous as the confrontation broadens and the humanitarian crisis worsens.

In this context, he recalled the reckless actions of the Houthi terrorist militia in inviting the Israeli enemy to target the nation’s resources and infrastructure, forgetting that its attacks in the Red Sea and surrounding waters did nothing to change the equation, prevent the devastation of Gaza, or make a real difference on the battlefield. Instead, they only exacerbated suffering and harmed the interests of the peoples of the region.

He stated, “That is why we have emphasized from the outset that we will deal with these militias and their supporters as an existential threat to the Yemeni people, their identity, and their relations with the regional and international community.”

The President affirmed that the grave role played by Iran will not cause Yemen’s government or people to ignore Israel’s extreme behavior throughout the region, nor will it lessen the condemnation of Israel’s repeated aggression against Yemen, its people, and its national sovereignty.

On the broader Arab front, His Excellency reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent, fully sovereign state in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.

He also reiterated the Republic of Yemen’s support for the Lebanese state, its sovereignty, and its exclusive right to control arms and make decisions on war and peace.

His Excellency emphasized that ending Israeli aggression and its brutal violations is the key to achieving the desired peace and the means to disclose Iran’s excuses and its agents’ attempts to exacerbate regional tensions and usurp the national will of the region’s peoples.

President Al-Alimi expressed his hope that the Houthi militias would take these changes as an opportunity for self-reflection and realize that the usurpation of the decisions of war and peace and reliance on external forces only bring ruin and destruction. He stressed that prioritizing the interests of the Yemeni people and the integrity of its territory is the best way to support the Palestinian cause and guide our country to safety.
