Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Mohammed Al-Daeri met on Wednesday with Bong Kae Do, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Yemen.

The meeting covered several topics of mutual interest, including efforts to enhance maritime security amidst the ongoing attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia on commercial ships and navigation routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

Lieutenant General Al-Daeri emphasized the importance of supporting the capabilities of the armed forces to enable them to fulfill their duties in enforcing security, securing international trade routes, and completing the restoration of state institutions.

Under-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Mansour Baggash met yesterday, Tuesday, with Ambassador of South Korea to Yemen DO Bong-Kae.

Aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries was key focus of the conversations.

The two sides expressed desire to further promote Yemeni-Korean cooperation and relations in different fields to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.

Baggash highly praised the Korean government’s supportive stances in support of Yemen and the Presidential Leadership Council led by Dr. His Excellency President Rashad al-Alimi.
