Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak has ordered a comprehensive review of all operations within the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance since 2015. This review aims to address any administrative and financial irregularities, enhancing the Ministry’s role in optimally performing its duties and serving citizens, particularly in the Hajj and Umrah sector.

During a joint meeting in the temporary capital of Aden on Tuesday, which included Minister of Endowments and Guidance Mohammed Shabiba, Minister of Finance Salem bin Buraik, and several leaders from both ministries, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of taking serious, transparent, and responsible actions to address all instances and suspicions of corruption. This falls within the government’s approach to promoting transparency, accountability, and institutional reform. He emphasized that financial compliance procedures are being applied to all ministries, institutions, and government agencies without exception, with the support of the Presidential Leadership Council, and no leniency will be tolerated in this regard.

The Minister of Endowments and Guidance presented a report on the performance of the 1445 AH Hajj season, detailing services provided to Yemeni pilgrims, their conditions from transportation to the completion of Hajj rituals and their safe return home. The report also highlighted the measures taken to evaluate outcomes and ensure continuous service improvement, leveraging experiences for the benefit of pilgrims in future seasons, in addition to organizing Umrah activities. The Minister further outlined the key challenges and difficulties faced by the Hajj mission and proposed solutions to overcome them.

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Yemeni Hajj mission in providing the best possible service to the pilgrims. He extended his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their efforts in serving pilgrims from around the world and creating a conducive atmosphere for them to perform their rituals safely and with ease.

He also directed officials to identify shortcomings from previous Hajj seasons and prepare for the upcoming season, ensuring the best services are provided to Yemeni pilgrims. He stressed the importance of listening to complaints and observations and addressing them positively.
