Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Tariq Saleh, directed the Emergency Committee on the West Coast to continue providing relief to those affected by the floods. He stressed the need to develop response mechanisms to reach all those affected and provide them with the necessary assistance without delay.
During his chairmanship of an expanded meeting via video conferencing with the Emergency Committee on Tuesday to follow up on the progress of the relief operation, the PLC member stressed the need to expand the scope of response to reach every affected home, and to involve civil society and active youth groups in this humanitarian task.
Tariq Saleh stressed that the moment calls for exerting all efforts, and for everyone to become a project of resistance against the Houthis. He pointed out that the immediate response of the National Resistance stemmed from its principles of providing relief to the afflicted and needy, in addition to its military role in the battle to restore the state.
Tariq Saleh pointed to the methods used by the Houthis to undermine national identity and mislead generations, stressing the importance of confronting this wave of disinformation with practical steps (humanitarian, developmental, and educational), and adhering to the goals and principles of September and October to combat this malicious act.
The PLC member drew attention to the Houthis’ exploitation of the Palestinian cause, while the Houthis did not offer anything to the Palestinians, warning that the Houthis’ follies have disastrous consequences for the Yemeni people.
