Dr. Shai’ Al-Zindani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates participated in the Arab Foreign Ministers meetings in preparation for the Arab League Council at the summit level, the 33rd ordinary session, which will be held in the Bahraini capital, Manama, next Thursday, May 16, 2024.

During the meeting held yesterday, Dr. Al-Zindani discussed several important issues, including developments in joint Arab work in various fields, draft resolutions on political developments in the Arab region, the Arab position on the Palestinian issue, and the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Arab peace initiative, and developments in crises in the Arab region, especially the crisis in Yemen.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Dr. Al-Zindani held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Arab countries, which discussed bilateral relations between Yemen and Arab countries, ways to enhance and develop them, developments in the situation in Yemen and the region, and issues of common interest.

In his meeting with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safdi, Dr. Al-Zindani, and Colonel Safdi discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, ways to enhance and develop them, Jordan’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government, and peace efforts in Yemen.

During his meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Dr. Abdallah Bu Habib, he discussed ways to support efforts to achieve peace in Yemen, while Dr. Al-Zindani affirmed during his meeting with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dr. Fuad Husain that Yemen and Iraq are pillars of Arab national security and the importance of their stability in the region.

Dr. Al-Zindani also met with Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar, Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmad Attaf, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shukri, and discussed with them ways to enhance bilateral relations and support Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt for Yemen.

He discussed with them the latest developments in the situation in Yemen and the region, strengthening bilateral relations between Yemen and the three countries, appreciated Egypt’s supportive stance towards Yemen, and briefed them on the latest developments in the situation and peace efforts.

Dr. Al-Zindani’s participation in the Arab Foreign Ministers meetings and his holding of bilateral meetings with his counterparts come within the framework of Yemen’s diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening relations with Arab countries, mobilizing Arab support for the peace process and humanitarian efforts in Yemen, and affirming Yemen’s steadfast position on various Arab and regional issues.
