The Republic of Yemen participated on Wednesday in the 62nd session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) held in Bangkok, Thailand. The delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Legal Affairs for the Official Gazette and Research Sector, Mohammed Bahabri.

The session, running from September 9 to 13, includes representatives from the 48 member countries from Asia and Africa, as well as several international observers and relevant international organizations. Discussions during the session will focus on violations of international law in occupied Palestine by Israel, among other international legal issues related to the Palestinian cause. It also covers a detailed report on the work of the United Nations’ International Law Commission, best practices and methods for asset recovery under the title (Forum of Experts and Asset Recovery), international trade and investment law, legal issues in outer space, international law in cyberspace, and environmental law and sustainable development.

It is worth mentioning that the Republic of Yemen is a member of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO).
